About Me

My name is Ciara and I have been teaching English in Japan for over 8 years! I have taken numerous courses in teaching and I have an N2 level speaking ability in Japanese. My students tell me my lessons are insightful and help them retain English better! 

Before coming to Japan, I majored in Japanese at the University of Iowa where I also minored in Business. So it has been my dream to start my own tutoring services.

I have had many opportunities to use Japanese while living in Japan, many people tell me my Japanese is very impressive. 

My goal with Flex is to create lessons that actually help students learn and retain English. The traditional classroom setting doesn't work for many learners (myself included). Therefore, Flex English addresses the issues with traditional schools and caters lessons to all levels.

私の名前はシアラです。日本で8年以上英語を教えています。私は教育に関する多くのコースを受講しており、日本語の会話能力はN2レベルです。生徒からは、私のレッスンが洞察に富んでいて、英語をよりよく覚えるのに役立つと言われています。

日本に来る前は、アイオワ大学で日本語を専攻し、副専攻としてビジネスも学んでいました。そのため、自分の家庭教師サービスを始めることが私の夢でした。

日本に住んでいる間、日本語を使う機会が多く、私の日本語はとても素晴らしいと多くの人から言われます。

Flexでの私の目標は、生徒が実際に英語を学び、覚えるのに役立つレッスンを作成することです。従来の教室の環境は、多くの学習者（私を含む）には適していません。そのため、Flex Englishは従来の学校の問題を取り上げ、すべてのレベルに合わせたレッスンを提供しています。
